Rosewood Little Dix Bay
Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
When it opened in 1964, Little Dix Bay represented a new style of island retreat. Laurance Rockefeller created a low impact resort with cottages tucked unobtrusively into the surrounding landscape just steps from the stunning white-sand beach. An eco-friendly resort ahead of its time, Rosewood Little Dix Bay has always been one of the first Caribbean resorts to promote sustainable luxury. In 1993, Little Dix Bay joined Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
From 2000 to 2006 the property underwent numerous renovations and expansions. As VP of Design & Construction for Rosewood, Mike Paneri managed the technical services efforts to renovate and expand the sacred property while staying true to Rockefeller’s original vision. The project included a full Guestroom refurbishment, a new hillside Spa, new Guest Swimming Pool, new Fitness/Recreation Center and expanded Kids Club along with new for-sale Residential Villas.
